Although I have almost no musical ability, I very much enjoy
Contemporary Christian music--especially songs of praise. It’s one of the
reasons I like Kinship Christian Radio so much.
Every once in a while, I get a yearning to write a song. What you see
below initially flowed out of me in about 20 minutes. (Yes, there was
considerable refinement afterwards.)
I have no idea what the tune for this song might sound like, but if you
have the musical ability to put it to music, please feel free to do so. You
may change it in any way that the Holy Spirit moves you.
Jesus, turning water into wine.
Jesus, giving His life to save mine.
Jesus, walking on the water,
Jesus, only son of Father.
Jesus, my Savior and my King!
Jesus, to you my praises ring!
Jesus, He died for me!
Jesus, He sets us free!
Jesus, calming the wind and the waves.
Jesus, opening eyes, hearts and minds
Jesus, giving His life to save.
Jesus, giving sight to the blind.
Jesus, He’s born of the virgin’s womb!
Jesus, He’s rising up from the tomb!
Jesus, He’s hanging from the cross.
Jesus, yes, He’s saving the lost.
Jesus, the word made flesh.
Jesus, how we are blessed.
Jesus, oh, He’s coming again!
Jesus, will we be ready then?
He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would
cry out.” (Luke 19:40 )
